In 2011, a group of wine and beer industry friends finally put their pints down and said let’s do it. They realized that their combined experience and overflowing passion for beer made them perfect candidates to start a craft brewery. And so together they rounded up investors on a promise and secured an old red barn in Niagara-on-the-lake to call home and build out their dream.
Seasoned Winemaker Cian MacNeil and Brewmaster and Professor Kevin Somerville opened the doors to Niagara Oast House Brewers in 2012 to a very enthusiastic market place not to mention local crowd that continue to squeeze in shoulder to shoulder to sample incredible season beers.
Since then they have been invited to list their bottle fermented beers at the LCBO which have done incredibly well in addition to a quickly expanding list of pubs and restaurants that scramble to put their Barn Raiser on tap or pour their Farmhouse Ales from the unique sparkling style bottle.
